Welcome to ReadMyCustody. By using our website and service at readmycustody.com ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Not Legal Advice
ReadMyCustody is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze uploaded documents and provide informational responses based solely on the text of those documents. The information provided is not a substitute for professional legal counsel.
You should always consult with a licensed family law attorney in your jurisdiction before making any legal decisions based on information from our Service. AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency of any response provided by our Service. Court orders, local laws, and judicial interpretations may affect the meaning and enforceability of provisions in your agreement in ways our AI cannot account for.
2. Use of the Service
You may use ReadMyCustody to upload custody agreements, divorce decrees, parenting plans, and similar legal documents that you have the legal right to access. You agree not to upload documents you do not have authorization to view or share.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and the terms of any court orders governing your custody arrangement.
3. Document Privacy
Documents you upload are processed in memory only and are not stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
4. Payments and Refunds
ReadMyCustody offers free questions per document upload, as well as paid Day Passes and Week Passes for unlimited access. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Paid passes are one-time purchases and are not recurring subscriptions. Due to the digital nature of the service, all sales are final. However, if you experience technical issues that prevent you from using a purchased pass, please contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you to resolve the issue or issue a refund at our discretion.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to attempt to extract or reverse-engineer our AI system or prompts, upload malicious files or content, harass, threaten, or harm any person, violate any applicable law or court order, or use the Service for any purpose other than analyzing your own legal documents.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadMyCustody and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on AI-generated information.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
